PreK 3 Circle Time!

I had the pleasure of working with the 3 year olds on Thursday and I thoroughly enjoyed EVERY minute with them!  They are such a great, bright group of students!  I love their imagination and their bright smiles!  Thank you for sharing your child with me!  Here are a few snapshots from the day!

Here they are naming the day of week, month of year, and weather today.

Now, they are learning to say the Pledge of Allegiance.  I was impressed how well the class is doing on their pledges.

Free reading time:

Diamonds are our friends of the week!  We all reviewed our shape of the week and each student brought something from home that had the diamond shape. We even learned how to make a diamond with our fingers. This shape activity was so much fun including the diamond shaped cookies! Yummy!

Mrs. Cindy taught us a fun fall song called Brown Squirrel.

F is for Firemen (& Fireman Sparky, too) visit

Thursday was an awesome day!  Firemen came to our school to teach us the Stop, Cover, Drop, and Roll!  They also taught us about smoke detectors and showed us what a fireman looks like when he dons his uniform.  Thank you to our brave heros of Thomaston!  We appreciate you firemen for all you do and we also thank you for taking time to teach us about fire safety!

Some of our students enjoyed the firemen, but were happy to meet and see from a distance.  Don't worry; there will be many more opportunities for your child to be in pictures and on our blog.  Sorry about the shadows in the pictures, but I can't exactly move the firemen and firetruck just to make better photos.  :)  Also, thank you to Kayla for taking some of the pictures for me!
